A decade ago, I found The Cloudwatching™ Method during the most stressful time in my life
Between transitioning my daughter to homeschooling, house-hunting, writing my practical treatise for my doctorate, and assisting my aging father, I was in a constant and frazzled state of hurry.
Despite 25+ years of supporting myself and others through mindfulness and self-care practices, the stress continued to persist.
One day, in a moment of pure serendipity, I dropped off my daughter at choir practice and went to a nearby park. I laid a picnic blanket down fully intending to take a nap, but encountered something even more precious: the very beginnings of The Cloudwatching Method.
Despite my exhaustion, once I lay down and saw the sky…
I experienced elation, stillness, awe, and wonder.
It's as though I had never seen the sky before! The beautiful azure sky, the white puffy clouds, and the tops of trees were a feast for my eyes. It was wondrous to be in the front row seat to the best show ever — the expansive and ever-changing sky.
I immediately slowed down and relaxed. And for a few days, the calm and joy stayed with me.
I tested and fine-tuned The Cloudwatching™ Method over the next 9 years
I test drove it through many challenging life situations and countless others. Though no two Cloudwatching sessions were the same, once someone lay down and took in the sky and light, they slowed down and experienced stillness, awe and wonder.
